Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information McIlvenna Properties Ltd collects through this website, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. We keep it short and in plain English.
Who we are
McIlvenna Properties Ltd (company number 16734799) manages a collection of homes across prime Central London. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website.
You can contact us about privacy at info@mcilvennaproperties.com or on +44 7535 946390. Registered office: [registered address to be added].
What we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us through the enquiry form or by contacting us directly:
- Your name, email address and telephone number
- Whether you are a guest, a homeowner or an agent
- The property you are interested in and your approximate dates
- Anything you write in your message
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. It stores one small flag in your browser’s session storage so the introductory animation plays only once per visit; this is deleted when you close the tab and is not sent to us.
Why we use it
We use your details to answer your enquiry, check availability, arrange stays or discuss the management of your home, and to keep a record of our correspondence with you.
Our lawful basis is that this processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)), and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us (Article 6(1)(f)).
We do not sell your information, use it for automated decision-making, or send marketing you have not asked for.
Who we share it with
Your enquiry is delivered to us by the following service providers, who act on our instructions:
- Resend (email delivery), which transmits the enquiry from the website to our inbox
- Vercel (website hosting), which runs the website and the enquiry function
- Microsoft Outlook, where our mailbox is held
Where a provider processes data outside the UK, transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision. We may also share information where the law requires it.
This website loads typefaces from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from Google, which may record your IP address under Google’s own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, so we can pick up the conversation if you return. If an enquiry becomes a booking or a management agreement, the information is kept for the life of that agreement and for six years afterwards for legal and accounting purposes.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your information where there is no good reason for us to keep it
- Stop or restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it
- Give you your information in a portable format
To exercise any of these, email info@mcilvennaproperties.com. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Security
Enquiries are sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and handled by a small team. We take reasonable steps to keep your information safe, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if our practices change and show the date of the latest version at the top. Continued use of the website after a change means you accept the updated policy.
